OTN Appoints Rebecca M. Shanahan President, OTN Specialty Services
Seasoned Healthcare Executive to Lead OTN's National Specialty Pharmacy

Shanahan as president of OTN Specialty Services, including leadership of ivpcare, OTN's national specialty pharmacy, and responsibility for OTN's disease management platform. Ms. Shanahan will join OTN effective February 26.

Ms. Shanahan joins ivpcare from Aetna Specialty Pharmacy, where she served as executive vice president and general manager. In that position, she was responsible for operations, sales, marketing, revenue growth, profitability and corporate development. Prior to that, she held several positions at Priority Healthcare Corporation, most recently as executive vice president, strategic ventures. Before that, Ms Shanahan served as vice president, managed care, business development and program planning, for the University of Chicago Hospitals, Faculty Practice Plan and Health Systems. While leading managed care and business development for the University of Chicago Hospitals and Faculty Practice Plan, the institution achieved the third-highest managed care revenue structure among all national academic teaching healthcare systems.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Shanahan served as a consultant with the Shanahan Group, where she negotiated mergers and acquisitions of hospitals, physician groups, pharmaceutical and related healthcare services and business franchisers. As senior vice president of Methodist Health Group and chief administrative officer of the Methodist Medical Group, she managed joint ventures among Methodist and Indiana University Hospitals and the Methodist and IU Medical Staffs in Ambulatory Outpatient campuses and an integrated IPA that was responsible for globally capitated risk products. She also previously served as vice president, general counsel and secretary for Community Hospitals of Indiana.
Ms. Shanahan is a member of the board of directors of Sanovia, Inc., a privately-held utilization management software company. Previously, she served on the boards of directors of Priority Healthcare, Naryx, Inc., a privately-held drug development company, and Indiana Medacom, a private company focusing on physician electronic medical records. She holds a J.D. from Indiana University School of Law and a B.S. from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.
