Judy Campisi, LPN - Judy Campisi is a Clinical Education Specialist for OTN Specialty Services. She has worked with OTN Specialty Services educating clinicians on our pharmacy services as well as creating and presenting educational programs in the field of Fertility since 1999. Judy has been a Licensed Practical nurse since 1985. Her Infertility experience comes from working for 3 years as a clinical nurse and nurse manager at The Center for Human Reproduction in Chicago.
As a Clinical Education Specialist, Judy has presented a variety of contact hour courses to numerous infertility centers in the central U.S. and New England. She has worked collaboratively with centers assisting in new staff training, improving customer service, and marketing efforts to the public as well as OB/GYN practices. She provides clinical information pertinent to the fertility population to clinicians. Judy has presented roundtable discussions at numerous regional nursing society meetings. She was an invited speaker for the special interest group, Assisted Reproductive Managers annual meeting held in Chicago, April 2005. Judy presented Conflict Management skills for managers. Judy is the editor of our Fertility Nurses First quarterly newsletter. Judy has authored several clinical updates, “Are you Ready” and “Weight and Fertility” to name a couple. Judy is a member of American Society Reproductive Medicine and the NPG.
Rae Merlo , RN - Rae Merlo joined OTN Specialty Services in 2005 and is the Clinical Education Specialist for the Western part of the United States. She is a graduate of Sacramento City College in Sacramento, CA. Rae has been a practicing nurse since 1994 and has worked in the field of reproductive medicine since 2000. Rae is a former clinical nurse for the Northern California Fertility Medical Center, where she played an active role in patient education and new nurse training. Prior to working in the field of Reproductive Medicine, Rae worked as a charge nurse in a hemodialysis unit where she cared for patients with multiple disease processes. She is also an experienced NICU nurse who worked for several years in a community hospital with a large volume of high risk births. Rae is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. In her role at OTN Specialty Services, Rae is very involved in providing clinical education services to our clinicians and patients. Rae has authored two contact hour courses; Complimentary and Alternative Medicine: Options for the Fertility Patient and Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome as well as numerous
Clinical Updates.
Ann Scalia, RN, BSN, CNOR - Ann Scalia joined OTN Specialty Services in 2002 and is currently the OTN Specialty Services Clinical Education Specialist for the East Coast. A graduate of Northeastern University and the New England Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in 1979, Ann has been working in the field of infertility since 1990. She is the former Director of Surgical Services at Boston IVF and is specialty certified in Perioperative Nursing. Ann is currently active in the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, Nurses Professional Group and the Association of Perioperative Nurses. She recently served as a faculty member at the 2006 Serono 19th National Conference for Nurses & Support Personnel in Reproductive Medicine and the AFA Family Matters Conference. She has also served on the planning committee of the 14th Serono National Nurses Meeting Planning Committee and the 15th Serono National Nurses Meeting Planning Committee where she served as the Chair. Ann enjoys swimming, traveling, reading and sports.
Ellen Tougias, RN - Ellen Tougias, RN is currently an IVF Nurse Coordinator at Baystate Reproductive Medicine in Springfield, Massachusetts. Ellen has been practicing nursing since 1984 and working in Infertility since 1998. She is active in the New England Nurses for Reproductive Medicine and the New England Fertility Society. Ellen was the recipient of the 2003 OTN Specialty Services Cathy James Memorial Grant for her program, "Taking Care of You." Her hobbies include cooking and gardening.
Linda Huston, RNC - Linda Huston, RNC began her career in women's healthcare nursing in 1981 with obstetrics and in 1989 moved to infertility. Linda has a Bachelor's degree in psychology, an Associates degree in nursing, and received her NCC certification in reproductive endocrinology and infertility in 1993. Linda is currently the IVF coordinator for Fertility Specialists of Dallas with Dr. Jerald Goldstein. Her special area of interest includes the mind/body issues related to infertility. With the help of the OTN Specialty Services nursing grant in 2002, Linda established a website addressing these issues. She is married with two grown children, three grandchildren and one cat.
Sherry Lipari, L.V.N. - Sherry Lipari is currently the IVF Nurse Case Manager Supervisor and Nurse Educator for the Reproductive Science Center of the San Francisco Bay Area. Sherry has been a nurse for 29 years. She worked as a Transplant / Nephrology Nurse Case Manager for 18 years prior to joining the Reproductive Science Center. She is married and has two grown children. Sherry enjoys reading, beading, and traveling whenever and wherever possible.
Gwen Testo, RN - Since 1991, Gwen has been a nurse specializing in Women’s Health. She began working in a hospital setting on a medical surgical unit and quickly recognized a strong interest in caring for women and their specialized healthcare needs. In 1996, she became a clinical coordinator for a hospital based fertility program and quickly developed a love of caring for couples struggling to build their families. Gwen accepted a position as a Clinical Coordinator for Albany IVF Fertility in 1999. In 2004 Gwen won the first Employee of the Year award given by Albany IVF Fertility and was promoted to the position of Clinical Manager. Gwen has an Associates Degree in nursing and is exploring online programs to complete her Bachelors degree in Health Management. She is a member of the New York State Nurses Association, as well as ASRM. |
